History of the Company

OOO "GSE-Giprokauchuk" is a legal successor of one of the oldest Design Institutes of Russia: State Design and Scientific Research Institute for Synthetic Rubber Industry awarded with the Red Banner of Labour established in October 1931.

The first plants in the world for production of synthetic rubber and monomers were built at the beginning of 1930-th in Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Efremov, Kazan as per Giprokauchuk design. The largest petrochemical complexes for production of monomers and other petrochemical products and polymers in Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and China were also designed by Giprokauchuk.

In 1961 Giprokauchuk was honoured with the high USSR State Award of the Red Banner of Labour for substantial contribution to creation and development of the Russian Industry of Synthetic Rubber and Petrochemical Synthesis.

In 1994 the Institute was reorganized into Open Joint Stock Company – OJSC Giprokauchuk; in 2011 – into Limited Liability Company – OOO "GSE-GIPROKAUCHUK" composed of a Headquarter Company in Moscow, affiliates in Voronezh, Kazan, Ryazan and Nizhnekamsk and Engineering Survey Parties in the North.

Skilled staff and Integrated Management System, up-to-date hardware and software resources combined with multi-year experience and ownership of know-how in field of engineering design of chemical and petrochemical production plants, comprehensive knowledge of Russian codes and standards and the range of Russian equipment and materials – all these gives OOO "GSE-Giprokauchuk" an advantage at the engineering service market in Russia.

In 2006 OJSC Giprokauchuk was awarded with the First Class Honours Diploma “For Achievement of High Efficient Results in Company Business Under Current Economic Environment” in the rating of 50 the best engineering design, engineering survey companies and enterprises of the similar profile in the Russian Federation.

In 2013 OOO "GSE-Giprokauchuk" was awarded with the Second Class Honours Diploma as the IXth All-Russia Competition Winner for the Best Engineering Design, Engineering Survey and Similar Profile Company of 2012 for the achievement of high effi-ciency of the Company’s activity results under current economic environment. The Competition was held by the Ministry of Regional Development jointly with the Builders of Russia Union.
